The Thomson Suite is the largest room at Northwood House 1880: a flexible training and events space for up to 35 people, on the ground floor of a Victorian mansion in Broughty Ferry. High ceilings, natural light and period detail give it a presence that a hotel function room or a serviced-office training room can't match, while modern AV, fast Wi-Fi and adaptable layouts make it a practical choice for a working day.
From training days and workshops to product launches and client events, the room can be arranged around the occasion, with the gardens and Grand Hall lounge available for breaks, networking and drinks afterwards.

The Thomson Suite gives you space to arrange the room the way the session needs it, whether that's classroom rows for a course, cabaret tables for group work or a boardroom layout for a smaller cohort. Delegates have the gardens and the Grand Hall lounge for breaks, complimentary tea and coffee throughout the day, and free parking on site.
For longer programmes or recurring sessions, block bookings can be arranged.

Northwood House gives you a venue that feels like a change of scene, with a room for the working part of the day and a house and gardens for the rest of it. The Mudie Suite and Stephen Suite can be booked alongside for breakout groups, and the Grand Hall lounge for informal conversation.

First impressions, in a setting that makes one.
For a launch, a showcase or a client evening, the setting does some of the work for you. Guests arrive through the Grand Hall, the house's grand reception space, and the Thomson Suite can be set for a presentation, a demonstration or a standing reception. Catering can be arranged, and the gardens are available for photographs and drinks when the weather allows.
Larger or out-of-hours events are welcome by arrangement.

A large screen and presentation facilities for slides, demonstrations and video, with reliable high-speed Wi-Fi throughout for you and your delegates. Remote colleagues can be dialled in, and there's space for your own equipment if you'd rather bring it.

Refreshments are included with every booking, with tea, coffee and water available throughout the day so breaks are easy and nobody has to go looking for a kettle. Fuller catering can be arranged on request.

Every booking includes use of the gardens and the Grand Hall lounge, the house's soft-seated reception space. It's where delegates take a breath between sessions, where launch guests gather on arrival, and where the conversation carries on once the formal part of the day is done.
