Our Spaces
A place for your business to call home
Northwood House 1880 offers a collection of flexible workspaces set within a restored Victorian mansion in Broughty Ferry. From private offices and meeting rooms to beautifully designed shared spaces, each area has been thoughtfully created to support focus, collaboration and connection. With flexible terms and a calm, professional setting, it’s a place where businesses can work comfortably and evolve over time.
Private Offices
Elegant, fully refurbished offices with character
Our private offices are set within the original rooms of the house, each retaining its own proportions, natural light and architectural detail. Ranging from intimate two-person rooms overlooking the gardens to larger suites, they're designed for individuals and teams who value privacy without isolation - a refined alternative to traditional office environments.
All private offices at Northwood House 1880 can be provided furnished or unfurnished, depending on your requirements. Choose a ready-to-work space with furniture in place, or opt for a clean, flexible blank canvas that you can configure and furnish to suit your business.
Offices are available on licences of 6 to 24 months, with utilities included and the wider amenities taken care of, so you're free to focus on your work while creating a space that feels entirely your own.
Suitable for individuals, small teams and growing businesses. Prices from £550 + VAT per month.
Dedicated Desks Broughty Ferry: The Morning Room
A bright, shared workspace overlooking the gardens
The Morning Room sits on the ground floor of the house, its tall windows filling the space with natural light and framing views across the gardens. Beautifully proportioned and thoughtfully furnished, it offers a calm, professional setting for focused, everyday working.
The room holds up to 12 desks, each with a lockable pedestal and privacy divider, so members enjoy a permanent base of their own within a quietly sociable setting. Complimentary refreshments are close at hand, with the kitchen, gardens and Grand Hall lounge all a short walk away.
The Morning Room is home to our Dedicated Desk membership, and also welcomes Day Pass visitors when a desk is free.
Dedicated desks £250 + VAT per month, on a three-month minimum licence, rolling monthly thereafter. Day Passes £25 per day.
Meeting & Boardrooms
Spaces to meet, present and collaborate
Northwood House 1880 offers three distinctive spaces for meetings and events, each set within the original rooms of the house. The Mudie Boardroom on the ground floor suits client meetings, presentations and team sessions, the Stephen Suite upstairs offers a quieter setting for smaller gatherings, and the Thomson Training & Events Space is designed for workshops, training days and larger groups.
With flexible layouts, modern technology and a calm, professional atmosphere, our meeting spaces allow conversations to flow naturally - whether for an hour, a day or longer-term use.
These are rooms designed to make meetings feel focused, comfortable and considered, rather than formal or corporate. All are available to book by members and visitors alike through our booking portal.
Shared & Communal Spaces
Designed for connection and balance
Beyond private offices and the Morning Room, Northwood House 1880 offers a range of shared spaces designed to support the rhythm of the working day. The Grand Hall, the house's grand reception space, is furnished with soft seating for informal meetings, a change of scene or a quiet moment away from the desk, while the kitchen and gardens provide places to pause, refuel and take in the surroundings.
These spaces encourage connection without expectation - allowing members to engage with the wider community as much or as little as they choose, within an environment that always feels professional and welcoming.
